We live in a busy, fast paced world.  More often we are flying by the seat of our pants.  Running from thing to thing never taking the time to slow down and look around.  We feel chaotic and rushed.  Our health suffers, our relationships begin to suffer.  We have no time to ourselves and when we do it is spent scrolling through our phones.  Does this sound like you?

What if it didn’t have to be this way?  What if we could have some balance in our lives and take back control of our lives?  What if we could have intentional lives instead of flying by the seat of our pants?  We are running around, living our lives not even knowing what we want, we only know we don’t want this.  Feeling constantly pulled in different directions.  This is how I felt all the time.  I learned that I needed to slow down and learn how to live an intentional life.  If I ever wanted to feel balance again I needed to have a plan. The plan involved a lot of self-discovery and hard work, but it was all worth it to create an intentional lighter life.

It breaks down into twelve steps.

  • Control
  • Balance
  • Trusting the journey
  • Journaling and introspection
  • Finding guidance
  • Emotions
  • Letting go / Character traits
  • Taking responsibility / Stress
  • Goals / Sleep
  • Maintenance
  • Connection / Meditation
  • Being of service

Tackling each step at a time and breaking it down into bite sized pieces is the beginning. The goal is not perfection.  As humans, perfection is not possible and that is wonderful.  Life is full of twists and turns and we must be able to adapt.  Life does not always go as planned.  Having tools in our tool box allows us to be able to meet challenges with courage and strength and still live an intentional lighter life.

It takes great courage to be able to say that what you are currently doing is not working, and to change it.  It takes the courage to ask for help when you need it, the courage to take responsibility for your life, and the courage to do something better.

It took tremendous courage for me to be able to say my life was not working.  I now have an intentional, lighter life that I love.  I wake up in the morning ready to start my day.  I am ready to start living up to my potential, ready to be of service.
